The entire hotel was fairly clean and the room was decent sized. The room we had included climate control, multi-channel TV and a fridge. The view from the window was gorgeous. All the staff were efficient, best. The free parking was on site, great service. Late check-out was useful.

I chose this hotel for a board meeting. the 24-hour business center was convenient for last-minute preparations and the staff were helpful. the 24-hour front desk made check-in smooth.
The hotel lacked high-speed internet, which I needed for my work tasks.

We arrived at the hotel around 4:00 pm on July 30th i.e., my wife, son, and myself. W went to the room and it was not what we expected. The online registration stated a double room with double beds. I questioned this and the manager at the hotel stated that it meant 1 room with 2 double beds. I asked for my payment back and was told that I will be charged anyway as it was a 24 hour call before to cancel. We went to dinner and when we came back I asked for another room because the room's carpet was filthy and had spill marks all over the carpet, in addition, there was an awful chemical smell. There were no dresser drawers nor did the refrigerator work. The lady at the front desk said that there were no other rooms available. I immediately cancelled the next day's reservation. We spent the night in a room that I am not accustomed to staying because the people at the motel were not courteous and acted very unprofessional and the accommodations were awful. I will never stay at this motel nor any other Howard Johnson's again. I would have gone to another motel, but it was late, we were tired, and had been traveling for 7.5 hours. I would like for my room reimbursement of 55.00 + fees back.

So convenient to the main tourist attractions (The Garden of the Gods etc) and the staff were lovely. Really clean room.
Could hear traffic quite loudly from our room- wasn't too bad but noticeable.

The room was very clean and bigger than anticipated. Bed was very comfortable. Perfect for a young couple traveling on a budget.
The pool wasn't as big as it looked on the pictures online. Was a little disappointed it was so small.

Waffle machine for breakfast.
We asked for queen beds and got queen headboards with double beds. Bed in one room was sagging with some broken boards on the bottom of the box springs. One of the drains was very slow to drain. The fridges were off when we arrived and took awhile to get up to temperature. When I checked out and told the lady at the desk, she didn't take notes but said she would have maintenance look at it. I bet nothing happens to fix it for the next guests.
